Immigration > For individuals
If you are an individual that requires immigration services, NES offers you a service that is completely tailored to your individual requirements.
We’ll assess your circumstances first of all to identify the visa that is most appropriate for your circumstances. A brief outline of the points based system is given below:
Tier 1 scheme
There are four categories under the Tier 1 rules which include:
General (highly skilled workers)
Investors
Entrepreneurs
Post Study Working (non-EEA students who have graduated from a UK university).
A specific job offer is not required for this route of entry, but the applicant must score the required points before they can apply.
Tier 1 general
This is the most common Tier 1 visa and points are awarded based on age, qualifications, UK experience and earnings. Applicants must also score points for English language and availability of funds.
Leave is granted for an initial period of two years with the option to extend for a further three years.
This scheme is appropriate for those seeking highly skilled employment, self-employment or starting their own businesses in the UK and for people who would value the freedom of being able to change employers if desired.
Other options
You may have a UK company that is looking to hire or sponsor you under the Tier 2 rules and is unsure what to do (see also our immigration services for hiring companies) or you may be looking to enter the UK under one of the temporary work routes under the Tier 5 rules. NES can advise and offer support under all of these schemes.
If a Points Based System application is not appropriate, NES can offer consultations and assistance with a variety UK related immigration matters (other than asylum) including:
- Applications for A2 nationals (Romanians & Bulgarian)
- BR1 – BR7
- Work Permit applications.
- Marriage, Civil Partnership, Spouse and Fiancés
- Indefinite Leave to Remain
- Tier 4 – Student visa applications and related dependants
Applications under European Law:
- Residence card
- Permanent Residence – EEA National
- Permanent Residence – Non EEA National
- Family Member residence stamp
From the outset, your circumstances will be assessed and you’ll be given advice about how we can help. We’ll also let you know if we foresee any problems with your application.
NES offers an immigration assessment and offer full representation, where possible. Full representation means that we will:
- Advise you fully on the application
- Prepare and submit the application to the Home Office or UK Border Agency
- Deal with the government department throughout the process until the application has been completed
- Provide a follow-up service to advise on further applications to remain in the UK.
Immigration services are available free of charge for individuals that have found work through NES (see also immigration services to support NES placements). However, you can also take full advantage of our advisory service even if you aren't using NES to find work - just call for a confidential discussion about our competitive rates.
