1st - 3rd line desktop/1st 2nd line server support consultant required for 3 months contract position.
Initially based in Milton Keynes, moving to Conventry. Start before mid July.

Duties: Taking telephone support calls from users and following them through to resolve. Some remote and some desk side support. Windows XP Pro, TCP/IP printing, HP Printers, Microsoft Office 2002-2003 Suites, OpenVPN, Dialup, port patching etc. HP Desktops and combination of Toshiba, HP, Lenovo laptops. Server issues to be dealt with by remote console (VNC, RDP), VMWare Virtual environment although skill set not required, Windows NT4 Domain, with some 2003 servers, Microsoft Exchange 5.5 administration tasks, user administration tasks, File / Group permissions, Symantec Web Security, Mimesweeper.

Good all-rounder required with good TCP/IP understanding, some routing/switch experience an advantage (HP Pro-Curve) but not essential. Excellent customer and management facing skills essential. Consultant will be representing our company so a strictly professional and polite manner required at all times. Able to work from own initiative very important.
