Primary Purpose
Ensure that all requirements coming into SIG are analysed, understood and well documented, adequately justified, fully consistent, and accurately communicated to suppliers and, as necessary other stakeholders, external and internal

Identifying key stakeholders and their business needs, often for one or more projects that are running concurrently
Defining and documenting business requirements via workshops, interviews and other information gathering exercises with key stakeholders.
Performing gap and impact analyses to translate requirements in to detailed operational business procedures, business cases and project management products
Defining all associated test scripts /specifications
Detailing quantifiable performance indicators to ensure key benefits are delivered.
Managing all modifications and ensuring traceability of requirements from inception through the full project life cycle to the implementation of the fully tested business model.
Develop an effective approach to transition that identified and mitigates the potential impact of project deliverables on the business processes

Clear statement of validated business requirements, assumptions and constraints
Production and/or maintenance of business cases and other required management products
Accurately designed, analysed and maintained business processes
Service Level Agreements
Clearly defined key Performance Indicators

Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine requirements and specify effective business process, through improvements in information systems, data management, practises, procedures, organisation and equipment.
Applies and monitors the use of required modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards.
Conducts investigations at a high level for strategy studies, requirements specifications and feasibility studies.
Defines, plans and justifies (in business terms) projects to develop / implement automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes

Understanding of government guidelines for procurement
Use of Case Tools or Enterprise Modellers
MS Excel and PowerPoint
DOORS
IT Integration
Proven Business Analyst Skills to define and resolve inconsistencies on business requirements and models
Experience defining business objectives, drivers and benefits
Experience gathering, validating and documenting business requirements for developing a new or enhancing existing systems or business process
Experience of designing, mapping and validation of business processes and detailed operational procedures
Experience performing business analysis on multiple projects in complex environments
Good interpersonal and communications skills
