Business Developers will be given a proposition and then allocated accounts within a sector to generate interest in that proposition. They will be responsible for researching suitable contacts within target accounts who could purchase my clients services, cold-calling those contacts and closing a sales meeting with my clients Direct Sales. Business Developers will receive coaching to prepare them to move into Direct Sales. The timescales for this change is planned to be six months given suitable performance.

Sound commercial judgement. Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Experience & motivation to develop long lasting client relationships.

Specific responsibilities:- Achieving call targets.
Reporting progress on new campaigns, including market conditions, competition, network contacts & emerging opportunities. Closing meetings quickly & efficiently.
Maintaining a positive & professional relationship with all contacts within an account. Ensuring a clean handover to Direct Sales. Ensuring a clean handover to Account Managers. Keeping the management team fully briefed on sales progress & performance.

Good team player whilst also able to work on own initiative. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal, with a variety of audiences.
Good organisational & staff management skills. Ability to multi-task. Ability to prioritise work effectively.Spanish and/or French languages, in addition to English, would be a benefit. UK focused but may travel internationally
