Our client wishes to strengthen its Construction group in support of its growth plans. We are looking for candidates with experience within major global EPC Petrochemical / Oil & Gas Projects.

Headquartered in Stockport, UK our client is supported by regional offices in India, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia and Russia.

Position Description

As a Construction Manager/Engineer you will have sole responsibility for organising, administering and delivering the construction phase of major projects, duties include:

Liaising with the engineering team to ensure deliverables meet construction needs
Ensuring the construction requirements are realistically quantified and incorporated into the estimates/project budgets and planning
Managing multi-disciplinary teams on site
Being fully familiar with the contract requirements, company policy and procedures to ensure the requirements relating to site operations are implemented
Ensuring the project achieves its objectives in respect of HSE, quality, cost and schedule
Establishing and maintaining effective communication and co-ordination between site(s) and home office(s)
Developing strategy to ensure project objectives are attained by gathering information about the site, client and local capability
Liaison with Projects, Planning and Cost Control groups to establish and specify management and reporting requirements for subcontracts.

Job Holder Requirements

Qualifications Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent
Corporate member of relevant institution

Experience Significant multinational experience and must be capable of working on projects from FEED, through Engineering to full site management and have a solid background in oil, gas, petrochemicals, energy, or pharma
Managing multi-disciplinary teams on site

Skills/Knowledge Commercial Awareness
International project management
