A Contracts Manager is required for a major power plant project in the Middle East. Candidates profile will include.
1. Role of Site Contracts Manager
1) Claim Defense
- Monitor all issues daily by attending meeting and reviewing all correspondences daily to cover all issues covered (Changes, V.Os, Claims)
- Review and draft the correspondence to Owner/Subcontractor regarding claim and contractual issues
- Collate/maintain Documentary Evidence, History for all Contractual and claim issues by maintaining History Cards
- To provide advice and guidance to the project/site management team
- Responsible for supporting management team on the administration of EPC contracts for civil, mechanical, electrical Department
- To resolve problems, claims and disputes through negotiation with clients as well as subcontractor
- To supervise remeasurement, additional and extra works, variations
- Negotiation contracts with subcontractors and producing the subcontract document
- Provide deliverable of the Contract and monitor status
- To coordinate and contact outside law firm from time to time
- To carry out related instructions and render any relevant services required by the Employer from time to time

2) Claim Risk Management
- Propose counter-measures and Improvement to remove/avoid/minimize further risk by reviewing ongoing issues and report for managements approval
- Manage and report the Risk & Issue Log for the assigned projects Level three

2. Job Qualification
- Quantity Surveyor Qualification holder
- Job experience at major construction engineering firms preferred
