My client is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to Perform analysis to produce Logical Data Models and physical database design for projects to produce physical data models for Oracle DBMS. (including DDL and DML scripts). Responsibilities will include: Gather and review data related information for existing source systems to produce "AS-IS" source system data models.
Report to Data Analysis Resource Pool Management and Technical Project Management on a routine and exception basis.
Lead technical staff on data related activities within projects
Define transformation rules for ETL and EAI environments.
Apply and promote established departmental data standards and data modelling guidelines. Skills and experience required are;
Strong client and delivery focus with a commitment to building in-house capability.
Excellent communication skills with Technical and non-Technical staff.
Ability to develop and understand SQL to required standards.
Excellent planning, control, time management and personal organisation.
Analysis and decision making.
Maintaining good relationships with Technical and Business representatives.
Ability to work as part of a team.
XML Schemas design (experience an advantage).
At least one of the main data modelling tools (ideally PowerDesigner).
Entity-Relationship modelling (in depth experience required).
UML Class Diagrams design (in depth experience required).
