a) Ensure that the plant / piping engineering design meets all project overall technical requirements and advise the Project Manager and Engineering Co-ordinator on all matters related to those disciplines.
b) Ensure that it meets programme, man-hour and deliverable requirements.
c) Ensure that discipline lead engineers administration requirements are met including:
- document control
- control turnaround documents
- holds diaries
- filing and retrieval systems
d) Provide progress reports and adequate notice of required changes to staffing levels to the Project Manager.
e) Ensure that efficient and effective co-ordination takes place between all disciplines.
f) Initiating and maintaining Quality Assurance requirements of project procedures.
g) To liaise with the Clients engineering personnel responsible for plant / piping engineering facilities.
h) Attend regular Design Review meetings with the Project Manager and Lead Engineers.
i) Monitor the implementation of engineering procedures, job priorities and changes as directed by the Project Manager.
j) Compile and update Piping Material Specifications, i.e., addendums to Clients specifications, etc.
k) Oversee and check Bulk Material Take-off
l) To assist with the recruitment of Piping Designers / Engineers.
m) Sign off all drawings and documentations.
