Managing Quantity Surveyor is required by a main contractor based in Solihull and operating across the West Midlands region. They undertake both Traditional and Design & Build projects with values of between 3 Million and 20 Million including both refurbishment and new build. Much of their workload is for local authorities including education and healthcare project; and they also undertake commercial and industrial projects for private clients and developers.

As Managing QS you will report to the Commercial Director of the business and be involved with projects from conception to completion. The Managing QS is involved at various stages throughout the construction process from pre-construction, design and planning stages through to project delivery and successful handover.

The Managing QS will be responsible for approximately 3 to 5 sites at any one time, depending on their size and complexity, and managing Intermediate level and Assistant Quantity Surveyors on each. In addition you will responsible for dealing with the client from time to time and resolving and problems during the build process.

As Managing QS for a main contractor you should have first hand experience of running projects of a similar nature and have experience in the role of Quantity Surveyor.
