My client is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to provide consultancy, advice and assistance in all aspects of Networking. The main responsibilities of this role will inlcude providing 3rd level support for clients and resolving any networking related issues, day to day configuration and management of a highly complex network, troubleshooting network performance and connectivity issues, ensuring security of Wan/Lan infrastructure and design, perform on site security audits, modifying firewall rule bases and carrying out upgrades as required. Essential criteria for this role includes experience with data communications specifically in the area of Cisco Routing, switching and other Cisco comms equiptment, experience of firewall technologies, including Cisco, Checkpoint and Juniper, experience in LAN/WAN design, implementation and troubleshotting, excellent knowledge of Cisco firewalls, Cisco Catalyst switches and routers, TCP/IP Protocol, Routing Protocols, VPN skills, Wireless operations and Wireless security, Windows operating systems, Microsoft SQL Server and VOIP systems and Protocols. Successful candidate must be prepared to work 5 days a week in Dublin.
