This role is to support, monitor, expand, maintain and recommend improvements to SAN equipment / environments and the associated infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have proven experience gained within mission critical environments using NetApp technologies along with Brocade fabric switch exposure. The candidate must either have or be working towards NetApp Certification (or similar) and be able to communicate at all levels. Network Appliance (NetApp) technologies incl iSCSI, CIFS, NFS and SnapMirror / Snapmanager for SQL in a NetApp environment. Enterprise storage technologies.

Role Responsibilities
Manage the day to day operational capacity of storage environments.
Ensure storage devices are operating within agreed performance criteria.
Technically manage the design and implementation of storage solutions.
Provide capacity planning reports.
Produce / update storage documentation.
Investigate and recommend new technologies.
Conduct critical testing to identify and eliminate potential problems.
Ensure high availability of all storage devices.
Essentially the successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of :-
Network Appliance (NetApp) technologies incl iSCSI, CIFS, NFS and SnapMirror/Snapmanager for SQL in a NetApp environment.
Enterprise storage technologies.
Fibre-Channel disk subsystems.
Network Attached Storage devices.
Fibre-Channel fabric administration.
Storage implementation experience, including SAN Fabric design/implementation.
Brocade switches.
RAID.
Available storage software and solutions.
