Our client, a large rail organisation, is looking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager to their offices in Central London.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Assisting with the project requirements / scope, to ensure that the business objectives are met.
2. Helping to manage project funding, control, performance and the requirement to meet safety and business standards.
3. Assisting in the Development of project documentation; including tender documentation, programmes, period reports, bid proposals etc.
4. Helping to plan, monitor and control design and construction activities.
5. Liaising with the client / stakeholders to ensure they receive the level of service expected and promote the corporate image of the company.

Required skills/experience/qualifications:
1. A degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering based discipline
2. Experience in a project management, railway or other engineering environment
3. A high level of numerical and analytical ability
4. Experience in the financial control of projects or similar
5. Knowledge of critical path programme analysis
6. Sufficient legal and contractual awareness
7. Awareness and knowledge to ensure safety in a railway environment
