Environment Delivery Manager required to join the team for an initial 6 month project.

Skills Required:

Project delivery or service management / project management.
Matrix management, resource management.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Issue management.
Strong delivery focus.
Knowledge of HP / Sun Unix O/S, Microsoft NT4 / W2K Server.
Knowledge of relational database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server .
Skilled in the use of Microsoft products including Excel, Project and Visio.

This is a very challenging and demanding role. Successful candidates must be very proactive self-starters who can demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness. He/she must have excellent communication and organisational skills, preferably with a solid background in project delivery or service management. He/she will have a proven background in dealing with technical and non-technical staff; matrix- management; issue and resource management, and have outstanding diplomacy skills. Must have a strong delivery focus, be methodical but flexible, and have the ability to work as a team member or independently. Must be pro-active, capable of multi tasking, and keen to deliver within cost, time and quality constraints. Must have a professional, confident approach and be able to resolve problems in a creative, practical and logical manner. Need to have the ability to think outside the boundaries of existing technical expertise, take on board new areas of expertise and be a key player in the company continuous improvement programme. Must be capable of demonstrating an understanding of the need for appropriate change control.
