My client is a major engineering contractor that is seeking additional talent in the area of Flow Assurance. Their business covers the full spectrum of engineering, procurement and construction for the oil and gas industry, and this role resides within their specialist consultancy group for upstream oil and gas. Your primary responsibility will be as a technical specialist providing flow assurance support across a range of oil and gas projects, including conceptual thermal hydraulic design of onshore and offshore oil and gas pipelines.

Candidates must have expertise in offshore and onshore flow assurance in both conceptual and FEED projects. You must also have an engineering degree (Chemical preferred), Chartered Engineer status would be preferable. You must be familiar with multi-phase flow, pipeline modelling techniques and computer tools in both steady state and dynamic mode, as well as being able to evaluate transient conditions such as warm up and cool down. Experience in the steady state thermal hydraulic design of flowlines, pipelines and pipeline bundles will also be required.
