Our client is a leading engineering contractor that specialise in project solutions and services for the water and wastewater sectors. They provide engineering design, specification, development and delivery management of each project. Due to the expansion of the business and success of new projects, they presently require a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Midlands office.

Responsibilities :

Supervise and motivate mechanical engineering staff.
�Deliver all mechanical engineering design to budget, programme and specification.
�Ensure both project designs are safe, cost effective and meet the specifications
�Provide specialist advice in mechanical and piping engineering
�Review technical bid analysis and make recommendations.
�Schedule mechanical engineering personnel and activities and provide reports to management.
�Attend meetings with client, consultants and suppliers.
�Assist with coordinating mechanical engineering activities with others.
Required skills :

Minimum of 10 years experience, the majority of which in water or wastewater treatment industries.
�Flexible working approach to deal with potential problems.
�Organisational skills for prioritising tasks.
�Full UK driving licence.

Qualifications
BSc/BEng, preferably with C Eng MIMechE
