Lead Piping Engineer
Based Teesside
Up to �45k basic + �1k health care + 5% company contribution pension + 25 days holiday

My client is a leading provider of architecture, engineering, procurement and construction services and delivers a wide range of design and planning, design-build, EPC, modular construction, contract maintenance, and program management services

They are looking for a Lead Piping Engineer to lead the piping group�s input to a major project. Youmust have experience in leading the piping team on multi-discipline projects.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the piping design from estimating manhours, scheduling production of work and deliverables, manhour control, interdiscipline co-ordination and the technical integrity of the piping work.

The lead engineer will be responsible of the production / checking of specifications and schedules and liaise with the Project Manager, Project Controls and external Clients.

You will be expected to provide technical expertise to the piping team, operate the internal change control procedure and supervise and participate in the review of vendor prints, shop drawings, and field Installation for compliance with contract documents.

Experience

Must be fully conversant with the design codes, ASME B31.3 & 31.1, must have a working knowledge of the legislative requirements incl. PER, PSSR, CDM etc. & have previous supervisory experience
