Maintenance Engineer - Permanent Staff - Pharmaceuticals - South East

Our client is an international healthcare company, operating 18 production and R&D facilities in 8 countries and employing 6000 people worldwide. The client is one of the leading custom manufacturers of chemical intermediates and active ingredients as well as biopharmaceuticals and agrochemical products.

An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to work on a permanent staff basis to provide planned maintenance (mechanical and instrumentation), troubleshooting and break-down response in support of cGMP fermentation, purification, and support systems, and the R&D Laboratories.

Candidates will be responsible for on-time delivery of all maintenance activities, planned and unplanned maintenance, technical problem solving/troubleshooting, quality maintenance, whilst taking ownership of assigned work packages.

Ideal candidates will preferably have an apprenticeship in an engineering trade and have experience in a maintenance environment working on production / control instrumentation. Experience of working to GMP in a clean room environment is also desirable for this role.

The client is seeking candidates with strong understanding of production maintenance, good problem solving skills with strong written & oral communication skills that express a willingness to learn, good attention to detail and a practical and methodical approach to work.
