Our clients, are a large rail organisation, are looking to recruit a Principal Permanent Way Design Engineer at their offices in Central London. The successful candidate will assist the Unit Manager to identify and develop business opportunities and help to develop a small permanent way capability in the London Office. A key element of the role will be to provide Permanent Way support in respect of projects arising in the London and South East area. The postholder will undertake the role of lead Permanent Way engineer on a variety of railway projects.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

Relevant Degree in B Sc/B Eng/ M Eng with Honours in an engineering subject or similar
Chartered Engineer and/or Member of relevant Professional Institution
Significant experience of infrastructure projects in railway sector
Experience in managing teams, whether internal or client teams
