My client is seeking a Technical Architect on a permanent basis and will be required to travel between their sites of London, Bristol, Birmingham and Rotherham. They will be required to propose Solutions for improved business services through management and systems, Consolidated and Virtualised platforms, using industry leading software solutions and reference architecture. Carry out Solution design using a proven and repeatable methodology. Engage with Bid Teams and Sales Support teams through the engagement lifecycle. Design and review Client Infrastructures. Formulate and direct the implementation of improvements to existing clients. Engage directly with Clients to ensure that the solution is delivered in line with business requirements and is not deviating.
Broad knowledge of core infrastructure and architectural knowledge with experience of server consolidation and virtualisation solutions, server platforms and solutions including Unified Communications and Collaboration, Systems Management, Security, User Experience and Directory Services -- with skills in one or more of the core skills detailed: � Virtualisation solutions including VMware &/or Windows Server 2008 Hyper -- V, &/or Citrix XenSource / Sunray / VDI Desktop Virtualisation, &/or Softgrid Application Virtualisation, or,
� Consolidation and Virtualisation solutions including Sun Dynamic System Domains, Solaris Containers and Zones. HP VSE or IBM Logical Partitioning
� Unified Communications and Collaboration (Exchange 2007, OCS, Microsoft Office Share Point Server 2007 / Windows Share Point Services v3, or,
� Systems Management SCCM / SCOM and Tools, or,
� Perimeter Security NAP / IAG / ISA / Forefront / Exchange Hosted Services, or,
� Server and SOE / Desktop User Experience.
